Wedding Presents and Gift Lists – personalisation
I am often busy working out designs and ideas with couples for their wedding gift lists. It is usually a commemorative piece including initials, dates or even a copy of their wedding invitation. These aspects I incorporate into the final piece ll hand painted and finished at my Dorset Studio. Popular choices are either from a set of mugs to full breakfast or dining sets. There have been some fun and unusual requests over the years everything from farm animals, skull and cross bones to fabulous florals and everything in between. We work on colours and motifs as well as the scale of the design too. Personalised pieces are becoming more and more popular where couples get something totally unique to them that has meaning and memories attached.
Many couples are waiting until later in life to tie the knot. This often means they don’t require the traditional ‘gifts’ that once made up a list. Kettles, mixing bowls and all the staple bits for a new home. It is always a pleasure to work on bespoke pieces knowing that the couple will turn to and remember the one to one development of that piece and the friends and family who contributed towards it for the special day.
I hand paint each piece so do bear in mind the lead times and we can work to budgets as well.
