Apparently Paisley is ‘In’ again! My New Paisley designs on linen union

I’ve always wanted to add a Paisley design on linen union to my fabric collection and whilst designing the new Garden II Collection I took the opportunity. I then read an article earlier this season by design writer Barbara Chandler in the Evening Standard Homes & Property supplement. (You can click the link an read it), all about the Paisley design and where the tear drop originated and how it is back in fashion not so much on clothing but in interiors and decor.

The Derreen Paisley Collection by Holly Lasseter.

The design was inspired  by a lichen I saw at Derreen Gardens in County Kerry Ireland. The Derreen Paisley is a large paisley pattern that is simple in design and available in various colourways. Indigo Blue, pale pink, pale blue, indigo with yellow and plum and grey with white. A slight Vintage hint has been given to the Indigo and Plum colour options.

I have gone for a subtle hint to the Paisley pattern  where it might work best in low key rooms for curtain, light use soft furnishings, curtains and blinds. I have also made up cushions to co-ordinate. See here for the collection Derreen Paisley
